Filing a Claim
When a loss occurs, our priority is to help you get your claim handled as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Under normal circumstances, we recommend contacting our office first so we can guide you through the claims process and answer any questions you may have. However, during catastrophic events such as hurricanes or widespread storms, we recommend reporting your claim directly to your insurance company to avoid delays, as carrier claims departments are typically better equipped to handle the high volume of claims.
Before a loss occurs, keep a record of your policy number and coverage information in a safe place so it's readily available if you need to file a claim.
After reporting your claim:
Report the claim as soon as possible.
Write down your claim number and the adjuster's name and contact information.
Take photos of the damage before making any temporary repairs.
Make reasonable temporary repairs to prevent further damage, if it is safe to do so.
Keep all receipts for emergency repairs and related expenses to be provided to your adjuster.
