Job Title: Sales Producer Job Description:

  •  Sell personal-lines insurance policies to individuals on behalf of insurance companies, including automobile, property, and specialized policies such as liability, flood, or recreational vehicle insurance.
  • Explain features, advantages and disadvantages of various policies to promote the sale of insurance plans.
  • Develop base for long-term sources of clients by using referrals, networking and marketing programs.
  • Determine clients’ particular insurance needs by gathering documents and information. Rounding accounts in order to provide a complete package of insurance protection.
  • Attend meetings, seminars and programs to learn about new products and services, learn new skills, and receive technical assistance in developing existing products.
  • Call on policyholders to deliver and explain policy, analyze insurance program and suggest additions or changes.
  • Customize insurance programs to suit individual customers, often covering a variety of risks.
  • Ensure that policy requirements are fulfilled and the completion of appropriate forms.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on the progress of initiatives to management
  • Facilitate re-quoting and rewriting of policies for current clients who wish to change carriers.

Compensation Package:

  • $17-25 per hour, PLUS…
  • 6-8% Commission on all written new business premium (Projected annual commission income: $50,000+)

Ideal Candidates Must Have:

  • 2-20 General Lines or 20-44 Personal Lines agency insurance license
  • 3+ years of personal-lines insurance sales experience
  • Knowledge of Applied Systems EPIC software program
  • Detailed knowledge of personal-lines insurance products and underwriting guidelines.
  • High degree of organization; Ability to multi-task and work with time constraints.
  • Moderate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
